Made out of top quality steel, Spyderco blades and knife designs are repeatedly tested at the factory testing lab before ever being brought to market. Some of these tests include: edge-retention, anti-rust development, lockback strength, and stress tests.
The thumb-tip circle bored into the steel at the bottom of the blade makes for one of the easiest one-handed openings of any folding knife in the world. And since the circle is within the blade itself, there is nothing external to break off, or catch on clothing when pulling the knife out of your pocket. This writer currently owns a Spyderco Endura model, and I have to say, it’s the perfect marriage of form and function. It never seems to get dull, and although I’ve had it for five years now, the action is just as quick as the day I bought it. When I clip it to my pocket, it’s so light, thin and smooth that I forget it’s even there. If you’re looking for an extremely well-made, innovative, and quickly deployed cutting tool, a Spyderco is the right choice, for now and years to come.
